In today’s climate with new builds and volume builders erecting large numbers of houses under tight timeframes, we want to make sure that things are done well.
There are 5 stages of a build at which you can request an inspection. Base, Frame, Lockup, Completion and Handover.
ABI Building Inspections are able to contact the build supervisor on your behalf to arrange inspections at each or some of these stages during the build. This allows any defects or concerns to be identified and rectified before the next stage proceeds ensuring your dream home to finished to a high standard.

Have a presale inspection carried out, this allows you the opportunity to address any area’s/defects that may require repair prior to the property going on the market, and or allows for a completed report to be available at the property for prospective purchasers to read to ensure maximum return and also possibly reducing the time frame for selling.
If you are auctioning your property have a report prepared so that on auction day potential buyers can bid with added confidence.
Starting from $265 ex gst, we engage a licensed pest inspector, and where possible coincide our inspection times for both building and pest to be carried out to help reduce wait times on reports.
Pest inspections are recommended for almost all homes with between 10-30% of homes inspected either presenting with existing damage from previously treated white ants or active white ants are found and will require treatment. Area’s are also identified as at risk or attraction to help avoid white ant damage occurring. Some existing damage can look minor on visual inspection but further investigations can reveal hidden damage to concealed area’s. ie behind plaster linings to structural framing timbers or to external shedding adjacent to dwellings.
We definitely recommend that a pest inspection be carried out before making any purchase.
